Silicone-based:
- Extremely long-lasting — doesn't dry out
- Waterproof — ideal for shower use
- Silky smooth feel
- Not safe for silicone toys — silicone lubricant dissolves the surface of silicone toys

There are also hybrid lubricants that combine water-based with a small percentage of silicone for longer-lasting glide.

The golden rule: always use water-based lubricant with silicone toys. Silicone lubricant irreversibly damages silicone toy surfaces.

When in doubt? Water-based lubricant is always the safe choice.

There's no fixed amount — it depends on the activity:

• Vaginal use: Start with a coin-sized amount and add as needed
• Anal use: Use more generous amounts, as the anal canal doesn't produce its own lubrication
• With toys: Apply lubricant to both the toy and the body
• With condoms: A few drops inside the condom enhances sensation

Tip: With water-based lubricant, add a little water if it starts to dry out.

Yes, provided you choose a quality product. Look for:

• pH-balanced formulas (3.8–4.5 for vaginal use)
• Glycerin-free to reduce risk of yeast infections
• Paraben-free if you have sensitivities
